I am a writer who just completed my first novel, Providence (along with a Blog and a Men's Study guide on becoming the "Christian Manly Man").
I have always had a passion for writing, but I let my life lead me elsewhere and have finally decided to buckle down and pursue the dream of the young man I once was.
I grew up in North Texas but my time in the United States Air Force has taken me around the world. I started out as a C-130 Crew Chief (airplane mechanic). While stationed in Germany, I played on the base basketball team which placed second in the USAF European Championships in 1989. A knee injury several years later forced me off of working on airplanes and while I recovered in an office job, I found a natural knack for computers.
My computer skills flourished over the years, providing me job opportunities in web design and programming. Also, while in the Air Force, I was an instructor for C-130 crew chiefs and Aircraft Maintenance Officers. After leaving the Air Force and eventually moving fully into the Information Technology (IT) sphere, I followed that path through several Federal Agencies including, the Department of Defense, Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the Internal Revenue Service - where I served a variety of roles from Network Administrator to Software Application Engineer. I have accumulated over 20 years in the IT industry.
I have five kids, four boys and the youngest a daughter. They each are as diverse as my career path and I am proud of and love them all. I currently live with my wife and the youngest two children about an hour north of Dallas. At our house you'll also find two dogs, four cats, four guinea pigs, two horses and a gecko.
I love many things in my life but at the forefront is Jesus. It is my desire that my writing can further the truth of his sacrifice and love for all us.
